How to Watch Tubi from Anywhere

Tubi is Fox's free, ad-supported streaming service. It runs in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and parts of Latin America, and shows a not-available notice elsewhere.

Install GhostShield on the device you watch on: Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone or iPad, or Google TV.

Connect to a location in a Tubi country: Los Angeles, Miami, New York or Palo Alto for the US library, London for the UK, Canada, or Sydney for Australia.

Open tubitv.com or the Tubi app. If it still shows the not-available notice, close the app or reload the site with the VPN on, or try another city. GhostShield has not tested Tubi, so it may still refuse the address.

Pick a title. Tubi is free and paid for by ads, so there is no subscription to set up.

Recommended Servers

US (Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Palo Alto), UK (London), Canada, Australia (Sydney). Tubi is not offered in the EU, so GhostShield's EU locations will not help, and GhostShield has no server in New Zealand, Mexico or Latin America.

Tubi costs nothing. Fox, which owns it, describes a 100% free, ad-supported model, and in June 2025 it put Tubi's collection at nearly 300,000 movies and TV episodes, watched by more than 100 million people a month (Fox, June 2025). With no subscription involved, the only thing that decides what you can watch is the country your connection comes from.

Each country gets its own library. Fox announced Tubi's UK launch on 2 July 2024, with over 20,000 movies and TV episodes (Fox, July 2024), and What to Watch listed eleven Tubi countries that month: the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador.

Everywhere else, tubitv.com sends visitors to a notice that Tubi is "not currently available in your area", and the notice's title adds that Tubi is not available in Europe "due to changes in EU laws" (Tubi's notice). A holiday in France, Spain or Germany is enough to lose it, free or not.

A VPN changes the country your connection appears to come from. GhostShield has locations in four Tubi countries: four US cities, London, Canada and Sydney. It has not tested Tubi on any of them, and Tubi does not say how it treats VPN addresses, so this page does not promise that Tubi will load. GhostShield has no servers in New Zealand, Mexico or Latin America, and its EU locations lead to the same notice.

Why Tubi Shows Different Content

Travel is the usual reason. A viewer from the US, Canada, the UK or Australia who goes abroad, and above all into the EU, meets the not-available notice, and only a VPN location in their home country could change that, if Tubi accepts it. The other reason is choice between libraries: each country's Tubi carries its own set of titles, and the UK one launched with over 20,000.

Tubi does not say in public how it treats VPN addresses. If the notice appears while you are connected, the address may be on a list it uses; switch to another city in the same country and reload.

Is Using a VPN with Tubi Legal?

Tubi decides where it runs. Its own notice says it is not available in Europe because of changes in EU laws, and outside the countries listed above it is not offered at all. Tubi is free, so there is no paid account at stake, and it publishes no VPN policy in the sources linked on this page. Whether you may use a VPN at all depends on the country you are in; a few, such as China, restrict them. This is not legal advice.

What Makes a Good Streaming VPN?

Tubi does not publish a speed requirement in the sources linked here. A VPN tunnel adds a little overhead, but distance matters more: pick the GhostShield city nearest to you in the library's country, and if the picture drops in quality, switch to another city in the same country.

Windows / macOS

Install GhostShield from the downloads page and sign in.
Connect to a US city, London, Canada or Sydney, depending on the library you want.
Open tubitv.com in your browser.
If the not-available notice stays, clear cookies for tubitv.com and reload.

iPhone / iPad

Install GhostShield from the App Store and sign in.
Connect to the country whose library you want before opening Tubi.
Open the Tubi app. If it shows the wrong country, swipe it away in the app switcher and open it again.

Android

Install GhostShield from Google Play and allow the VPN connection when Android asks.
Connect, then open the Tubi app.
If Tubi remembers the old country, force-stop it in the app settings and open it again.

Google TV / Android TV

Install GhostShield from Google Play on the TV and sign in.
Connect to a US city, London, Canada or Sydney. The tunnel stays up while you use other apps.
Open the Tubi app on the same TV. GhostShield does not support Fire TV at the moment.

Troubleshooting

Fix Common Tubi Errors

Tubi says it is not available in your area

You are either not connected or connected to a location outside Tubi's countries, such as one of GhostShield's EU cities. Connect to a US city, London, Canada or Sydney and reload. If one city keeps showing the notice, try another in the same country. Tubi may refuse VPN addresses altogether; GhostShield has not tested it.

The wrong country's library loads

The app or browser kept the earlier location. Close the app or clear cookies for tubitv.com, then open it again with the VPN connected.

Video or ads keep stalling

Distance is the usual cause. Use the nearest city in the library's country: New York or Miami from Europe and Africa, Los Angeles or Palo Alto from Asia and Oceania.

A title you watched at home is missing

Each country's Tubi has its own library. If the title is missing while you are connected to your home country's server, it is not in that library at the moment.

Can I use a VPN with Tubi?

Is it legal and safe to watch Tubi with a VPN?
