GhostShield runs on Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, iPad and Google TV. Here is what each app needs, checked against the apps we ship today.

- To install
- Administrator rights. Stay online while it runs: the installer downloads the app, and adds Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime if the PC does not have it yet.

- Operating system
- macOS 12 Monterey or laterTo check: Apple menu, About This Mac.
- Processor
- Apple silicon (M1 and later) or Intel. One app runs natively on both.

- The Mac installer (.pkg) on ghostshield.ai
- To install
- An administrator password. The first time, macOS asks you to allow the GhostShield VPN in System Settings.

- Operating system

- ARM, 64-bit or 32-bit, which covers almost every Android phone and tablet

- To install
- Tap OK when Android asks to let GhostShield set up a VPN connection.

- iOS 17 or iPadOS 17, or laterTo check: Settings, General, About.
- Devices
- iPhone XS, iPhone XR or newer, and any iPad that runs iPadOS 17

- An Apple ID. iOS asks once to add a VPN configuration.

- ARM, including 32-bit TVs and streaming boxes

- To install
- Just the remote. You can also sign in by scanning a QR code with your phone.

- What you need
- A WireGuard client, such as wireguard-tools on Linux, or a router whose firmware supports WireGuard.
- Configuration
- Customers with an active plan can download a WireGuard configuration file from their dashboard.
